MARKABLES data use in bedding industry across the world: Idas Istanbul Doseme Sanayii A.S. is a Turkish manufacturer of spring mattresses and some metal furniture, listed at the Istanbul Stock Exchange since 1995. Due to financial difficulties, the company was acquired in 2016 by Teksal Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S.
In preparation of a financial restructuring ortakeover, Idas engaged Deloitte Turkey in 2015 to prepare a valuation of the İDAŞ brand name.
For the valuation, Deloitte Turkey relied on MARKABLES data, among others. Deloitte found trademark royalty rates in the bedding industry ranging from 1% to 2.75% on revenues. A royalty rate of 2.2% was determined and applied for the İDAŞ brand name.
